It is the second highest peak of Pakistan and the 9th highest peak of the world. The first successful summit of Nanga Parbat was done by Hermann Buhl in 1953. This peak has been quite challenging for mountaineering, and due to this it is also called “Killer Mountain”. It has a death rate of 22 percent among climbers.

Routes

There are some popular routes to reach Nanga Parbat:

Best Time To Visit

The best time for trekking and climbing Nanga Parbat is between June and September. During this time the weather is relatively stable and there is less snow, which is suitable for trekking and climbing.

• Physical Fitness: Mountain climbing is tough, so good health and stamina are a must.
