Itinerary

Arrive at Islamabad airport where you will be warmly welcomed and transferred to your accommodation. After settling in, embark on an afternoon city tour of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. Explore the iconic Faisal Mosque, the expansive Shakar Parian Park, and the Pakistan Monument. Visit Daman-e-Koh for panoramic views of the city, the Lok Versa Museum to delve into the cultural heritage, and the vibrant bazaars of Rawalpindi, including Raja Bazaar, for a taste of local life and shopping.

Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Islamabad to Chilas. The route takes you through the lush green landscapes of Mansehra and Naran. Enjoy the picturesque views as you drive past Jalkhad and make your way towards Chilas. A brief stop at the Babusar Pass, renowned for its stunning mountain vistas, provides an opportunity for photos and admiration of the surrounding peaks. Continue your drive to Chilas, absorbing the changing scenery along the way.

Set out on a picturesque drive from Chilas to Karimabad in Hunza, taking about 6-7 hours. During the journey, stop at the remarkable Thalichi viewpoint, where the Karakoram, Himalaya, and Hindukush mountain ranges intersect, offering breathtaking views of Nanga Parbat. Continue onward, pausing at the Rakaposhi viewpoint to capture the stunning scenery and enjoy a brief refreshment. As evening approaches, proceed to Borith Lake, where you'll camp overnight by the tranquil waters, immersed in the serene surroundings.

After a hearty breakfast, begin your trek from Borith Lake, embarking on a 3-4 hour walk. The trail takes you across a hot, dry ridge leading to Passuagar pasture, located in the ablation valley on the southern side of Passu Glacier. As you reach the shepherd huts, you’ll set up camp amidst the remote beauty of the area, ready to experience the wild landscape of the Hunza Patundas Trek.

Today’s journey involves a 3-4 hour trek to Luzdher, where you’ll cross the challenging Passu White Glacier. The initial and final sections of the glacier may feature some crevasses, requiring extra caution. The middle part is smoother, with fewer obstacles. Upon reaching Luzdher, you’ll find yourself at the base of the Patundas meadows, with magnificent views of peaks like Passu, Shishper, Ultar Sar, and Popdan surrounding you.
