The Seven Days Winter Festival takes place in Gilgit-Baltistan, showcasing its winter landscapes, culture, and thrilling sports. Organized by the Gilgit-Baltistan Tourism and Sports Department with partners, the event alternates between locations like Skardu, Hunza, and Hussainabad. It aims to boost winter tourism, enhance facilities, and offer a unique experience for visitors.
The festival promotes inter-district unity, revives traditional sports, and introduces modern winter activities. The Seven Days Frozen Fairytale has become a key part of this sustainable tourism model, held at different locations each year.
This year, the event will take place at Murtazabad Lake in Hunza and Hussainabad in Skardu from January 19 to 25, 2025, under the theme “Seven Days Frozen Fairytale.” Since 2021, the festival has become a hallmark event, promoting the region’s beauty and boosting winter tourism.
