Arrive in Islamabad, Pakistan, where you’ll be greeted by Skardu Trekkers’ team. After a warm welcome, you will transfer to your hotel in the city. Once you’ve settled in, gather for a briefing about the upcoming Shipton Spire Expedition. This meeting will cover vital information regarding safety protocols, packing lists, and an overview of the itinerary, ensuring you are fully prepared for the adventure ahead. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, perhaps exploring nearby sites such as the Faisal Mosque or the Pakistan Monument.

Start your journey with an early morning flight to Skardu, weather permitting. The flight offers stunning views of the Himalayas and Karakoram ranges, a perfect prelude to your expedition. If the flight is canceled due to weather conditions, embark on a scenic 10-12 hour coach journey along the legendary Karakoram Highway, renowned for its breathtaking landscapes. Upon arrival in Skardu or Chilas, check into your hotel and enjoy a delicious local meal. If you arrived in Chilas, you’ll continue your journey to Skardu, a drive that takes approximately 7-8 hours. Arriving in Skardu, check into your hotel and spend the afternoon relaxing and preparing for the Shipton Spire Expedition. After an early breakfast, embark on an exciting jeep ride to Askole, a journey of about 8-9 hours. Jhola

Paiyu
