Itinerary

Upon arrival at Islamabad airport, you will be warmly welcomed by the Skardu Trekkers team and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, embark on a city tour of Islamabad and Rawalpindi. This includes visits to the iconic Faisal Mosque, Shakar Parian, Pakistan Monument, Daman-e-Koh, Lok Versa, Museum, Rawalpindi Old Bazaar, and Raja Bazaar.

Begin your journey with a drive from Islamabad to Chilas. The first leg of the drive will take you to Naran, covering a distance of 279 km via Mansehra, Naran, and Jalkhad, which takes approximately 6-7 hours. After lunch, continue your drive to Chilas for another 3-4 hours, covering 113.3 km via Babusar Pass at 4,173 meters.

In the morning, begin your day with a drive from Chilas to Raikot Bridge, a journey that takes approximately 1 hour. Upon reaching Raikot Bridge, transfer by jeep to Tato village, covering a distance of 15 km in about 1 hour. The drive offers glimpses of the rugged terrain and picturesque scenery typical of the Karakoram region.
From Tato village, embark on your trek to Fairy Meadows. This trek takes 2-3 hours, covering a distance of 5.5 km. The trail meanders through lush forests and alpine meadows, gradually ascending to the beautiful meadows.

Today, embark on an exciting excursion to Nanga Parbat Base Camp, located at an altitude of 3,967 meters. Set off from Fairy Meadows in the morning, and enjoy the scenic trek as you make your way to the base camp.
At the base camp, take time to explore the area and absorb the stunning views of Nanga Parbat, one of the world’s eight-thousanders. Known for its towering and dramatic presence, Nanga Parbat rises impressively above the surrounding terrain. The peak was first successfully climbed on July 3, 1953, by Austrian climber Hermann Buhl, a notable achievement in the mountaineering world.
After spending time at the base camp, begin your return trek to Fairy Meadows in the evening. Reflect on the breathtaking landscapes and the remarkable ascent of one of the most challenging peaks in the world.
Upon your return, relax and enjoy the serene environment of Fairy Meadows.

Trek down to Tato village, which takes 2-3 hours, and then drive to Minapin, which takes 5-6 hours. En route, stop at the Thalichi junction where the Karakoram, Himalaya, and Hindukush ranges converge, for photography and views of Nanga Parbat. Also, visit Rakaposhi View Point for additional photographs and refreshments.

Start your trek from Minapin to Hapakun, covering a distance of 5.8 km with an ascent of 792 meters. This trek takes 4-5 hours and reaches an altitude of 2,804 meters. The trail begins behind Minapin village, crossing a bridge to the Minapin River’s left bank. Enjoy views of the Minapin Glacier and the Rakaposhi-Diran crest line.

After breakfast, begin your trek to Rakaposhi Base Camp. The trek takes approximately 3-4 hours, covering an ascent of 457 meters to reach an altitude of 3,261 meters.
Upon arrival at the base camp, enjoy lunch and spend the afternoon exploring the area. Take in the magnificent views of Rakaposhi and the surrounding peaks.

After breakfast, embark on an exciting excursion to Diran Peak Base Camp. The trek offers spectacular opportunities for photography, capturing the grandeur of Diran Peak and the stunning surrounding landscapes.
Following lunch at the base camp, begin your trek back to Hapakun. Settle into your campsite upon arrival and enjoy an overnight stay in tents.

After breakfast, begin your trek down to Minapin, which takes approximately 4 hours. Enjoy the scenic descent through lush landscapes and picturesque views.
Upon reaching Minapin, transfer to your vehicle for the drive to Karimabad. This journey takes about 1 hour. Once you arrive in Karimabad, check into your hotel and unwind after the day’s travels.

In the morning, start your day by visiting Baltit Fort, a historic fort that is 700 years old. Explore its ancient architecture and panoramic views. Next, head to Altit Fort, which dates back 900 years. Discover its historical significance and enjoy the impressive vistas from this ancient structure.
In the afternoon, drive to Duiker Valley, a journey of approximately 30 minutes. Upon arrival, refresh yourself before embarking on a walk through the village. After breakfast, drive to Passu, a journey of approximately 1 hour. Along the way, make several stops to explore and capture the beauty of the region:

After breakfast at your hotel in Karimabad, check out and begin your drive to Naran. The journey covers approximately 355 km and typically takes around 7-8 hours.
As you travel, you’ll cross the scenic Babusar Pass at an altitude of 4,173 meters. This high mountain pass offers stunning panoramic views of the surrounding peaks and valleys. Make sure to stop at various viewpoints along the way to capture photographs and enjoy the breathtaking scenery.

After breakfast at your hotel in Naran, check out and begin your drive to Islamabad. The journey covers approximately 279 km and takes about 6-7 hours.
