If you also want to travel to Gilgit-Baltistan during vacations, then definitely visit Naltar Valley. This valley is very famous for its beauty and adventure. I have been here, so I am sharing my travel experience with you so that I can guide you too – how to reach, what to see, and what can we do.

How to reach Naltar Valley?

Naltar Valley is just 40 kilometers away from Gilgit city. Normally it takes you 1.5 to 2 hours to travel by road from Gilgit. The road is a little rough, so taking a 4×4 vehicle is the best option. The scenery there is so amazing that even the route seems adventurous.

What to see in Naltar Valley?

1. Naltar Lakes (Satrangi Lakes)

These lakes are famous for their beautiful coloured water – I am sharing the picture with you, sometimes turquoise, sometimes emerald green. I did a little hiking after a jeep ride to see these lakes, and the views were really mind-blowing.

2. Trekking and Hiking

You will find different trekking trails in Naltar – if you want to enjoy waterfalls and mountain views while passing through the forests, then this is the best spot.

3. Wildlife and Bird Watching

Here you can also see rare birds like Himalayan Monal. I think it would be fun if you capture these birds in cameras.
