We began our journey from Gilgit and headed towards Hunza Valley. it took 3 hours to be there at Hunza After arriving, we enjoyed a hearty meal and set off for our first destination the Baltit Fort.
Exploring Baltit Fort
Baltit Fort, a stunning architectural masterpiece in Hunza Valley, was built by a king as a dowry gift for his daughter. Perched on a hilltop, the fort offers panoramic views of the surrounding valley and stands as a symbol of love, history, and craftsmanship. Its unique blend of Tibetan and Balti architecture reflects the region’s rich cultural heritage.

• Inside, we found artifacts from the royal families, traditional items, and preserved gifts from ancient times.
• A guide explained the historical significance of the fort. The views from the fort were breathtaking, and we took plenty of pictures to capture the moment.
Altit Fort and Royal Garden
• After visiting Baltit Fort, we made our way to Altit Fort.
• The Royal Garden, with its lush greenery and tall trees, was a serene spot for photos and relaxation.
• Inside Altit Fort, the guide showed us ancient doors, guest rooms, and preserved living quarters of the royals.
Passu Cones and the Stunning Views
• The highlight of our trip was Passu Cones, which are truly iconic peaks.
• Along the way, we stopped to capture drone footage and scenic shots of the surrounding landscape.
• We stayed at a cozy hotel named Yak Grill and enjoyed the hospitality of the locals.
The Thrill of Hussaini Bridge
• The Hussaini Suspension Bridge is the most dangerous bridge of world one of the longest and most thrilling in Pakistan.
• Crossing the bridge over the roaring river below was an exhilarating experience.
• The nearby zip line added an extra dose of adventure.
Rakaposhi Base Camp
Rakaposhi, standing at 7,788 meters (25,551 feet), is one of the most magnificent peaks in the Karakoram Range, located in the Nagar Valley near Hunza. Known as the “Mother of Mist,” it captivates visitors with its snow-clad beauty and serene surroundings. The Rakaposhi viewpoint, easily accessible from the Karakoram Highway, offers a breathtaking view of this majestic mountain. Its immense presence and the lush green valleys below make Rakaposhi a favorite destination for trekkers and nature lovers.
• From Minapin Village, it took us about three hours of trekking to reach Rakaposhi Base Camp.
• The base camp offers stunning views of Rakaposhi, which was first climbed in 1958 by a British-Pakistani expedition.
• We captured breathtaking photos and created unforgettable memories of this majestic peak.
